I have wanted for a very long time now to make a version of this cloak:
Though I would like the hat hat be a hood.
Still..... I can't decide on materials and I fear that, even if I did, I am not skilled enough to pull it off.
I would have liked to make it from scrap leather. However, that seemed more practical in PA..... I don't know how often I'd be able to wear leather in San Diego without cooking myself alive. I will have to explore my options. :)

Wow, I have no clue what language that other comment is in! Technically, it would be an easy poncho to make, and since I've seen so many of the hats, I am tempted to say the easiest would be out of fleece (which I hate with a passion!).
ReplyDeleteWell, what are traveler cloaks normally made of? Wool, leather... something blankety. But if you want something for a warmer weather, it's going to need to be something like linen to get the proper worn look.
